Directorate of Marketing is responsible for facilitating and marketing agricultural products in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Directorate works through market committees and yards set up in the different districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Rythu Bazaar

The Department setup 99 Rythu Bazaars in the state which enabled direct interaction between producers (farmers) and the consumers (citizens). Vegetables and other commodities like oils, pulses etc., are sold through Rythu bazaars.

Functions
  1. Providing fresh vegetables and other commodities to the citizens at reasonable rates
    • Providing direct interaction of farmers and the citizens
    • Avoiding middlemen and commission agents
  2. Providing greater exposure to the farmers for direct market
  3. Help improve profitability to the farmers
  4. Helping in upliftment of the farmers
