Functioning under the aegis of the Andhra Pradesh Nutrition Council, Andhra
Pradesh Foods was formed with the objective of manufacturing and supplying food
to the identified beneficiaries of ICDS Projects and few municipalities as per
the advise of the Directorate of Women Development & Child Welfare and
Directorate of Municipal Administration.
The main objectives of the organization are:

Manufacture and supply of nutritious foods to school going children, pregnant
women, and lactating mothers under social welfare programmes

Develop raw-material pre-processing and food processing capacities in the State
with assistance from State/Central Government and international aid agencies
like CARE/UNICEF

Promote and assist institutions to undertake the study of food and nutritional
problems and requirements
