- The Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Residential Educational
Institutions Society (APTWREIS) was established at Hyderabad in the year 1998
called as "GURUKULAM", vide G. O. Ms. No. 51, SW(TW. Edn. 1), with
the required autonomy and functional flexibility to take care of enrollment
and retention of tribal children and improvement in the quality of education
imparted to them. All the residential schools and residential junior colleges
exclusively meant for Scheduled Tribes are under its control.
- The institutions are residential in nature and all are boarders
