The Ground Water Department was established to help the
scientific development, systematic management and optimal monitoring of
groundwater resources for sustainability.
The main functions of the Department are:
o Wells
o Recharge structures
o Exploratory drilling

Monitor ground water levels and quality through a network of
observation wells and piezometers

Interpret aerial photographs and satellite images

Monitor and evaluate watersheds and artificial recharge
structures from the groundwater point of view, and so on
