The Andhra Pradesh Fire Service has 232 fire stations spread across the State, with the focus of the Service being primarily on fire prevention and fire extinction. The Andhra Pradesh Fire Service is dedicated to saving life and property of the people of the State.

The main objectives of the Service are:

  • Save life and property of the people of the State in case of fire
  • Rescue people from natural disasters, like earth quakes, floods, cyclones and other disasters like road and rail accidents, air crashes etc.
  • Provide advice on fire protection and fire prevention
  • Train locals in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue operation, and so on
