INTRODUCTION
The Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh was
established in 1996. The Academy, first headed by Sri K.Sreenivas Reddy, gave a
new fillip to the professional activities moulding young journalists to meet
the new challenges that have come into being with the changing technologies.
The Reorientation classes initiated soon after
the setting up the Academy, to the mofussil journalists in the rural areas
proved to be a great shot in the arm as the rural reporters became better
equipped with better understanding of reporting from the field.
