The Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation Limited (APFDC) was
established to acquire institutional finance for cultivation of man-made
forests so as to meet the demand for domestic and industrial needs of forest
produce and restore degraded forest areas to bring them under productive use.
The main objectives of the APFDC are:

Cultivation of industrial plantations like eucalyptus, bamboo, and so on to
meet the raw material requirement of the wood based industries in the state

Implement eco-friendly and diversified Crop Management in degraded forest lands
of state

Contribute towards the protection of the environment and increased forest land
productivity

Provide employment to tribals and people in rural areas

Provide market support to farmers for forest produce

Provide consultancy services for cultivation of bio-aesthetic plantations
