The main objective of the Andhra Pradesh Washermen Co-op. Societies Federation
Ltd. is to provide financial assistance to families of Washermen for
construction of Dhobighats and for purchase of washing implements required for
their day-to-day profession. The Federation acts as an Apex body at the state
level.
The schemes implemented by the Federation are:

Construction, improvement and modernization of Dhobighats with the grant-in-aid
provided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh

Sanction of medium term loans to Primary Washermen Co-op. Societies from the
share capital contribution provided by the Government
