Departments > Agriculture and Co-Operation > A P State Seeds Certification Agency > Introduction The Andhra Pradesh State Seed Certification Agency (APSSCA) maintains and makes available to the public through seed certification, high quality seeds and plant varieties that are genetically pure. The main functions of the Agency are: Certify seeds of notified varieties Outline the procedure for submission of applications for growing, harvesting, processing, storage and labeling of seeds intended for certification  Ensure that seed lots approved for certification are true to variety and meet prescribed standards for certification Maintain a list of recognized breeders of seeds Draw samples and inspect seed lots produced under the procedure laid down by the Agency Inspect seed processing plants to see that admixtures of other kinds and varieties are not introduced Implement educational programmes designed to promote the use of certified seeds Maintain such records as may be necessary to verify that seed plants for the production of certified seed were eligible for such planting, and so on Department Website: www.apssca.ap.nic.in You are Visitor No.:43223 Know more about...
