The
Federation of Sericulturists and Silk Weavers Coop., Societies Ltd.,
Hyderabad was established during February, 1975
under the A.P. Coop., Societies Act, 1964 and rules there under with an
authorized capital of Rs.10.00 lakhs of 10,000 shares of Rs.100/- each. The authorized share capital of Serifed
was increased from Rs.10.00 lakhs to Rs.300.00 lakhs consisting of 12,000 shares
at Rs.2,500 each share. The paid up
capital of Serifed is Rs.132.565 lakhs comprising Rs.125.14 lakhs from State
Govt., and Rs.7.425 lakhs from the member societies.
ACTIVITIES:
1. Supply of mulberry nursery saplings and cuttings
2. Supply of
quality Sericultural inputs / disinfectants to the farmers.
3. Trading
in silk yarn.
4.Providing
Silk yarn pledge facility to silk
reelers.
5.Production
and marketing of silk fabrics.
