In consonance with National Agriculture Policy, the A.P.State Agro Industries
Corporation Limited was incorporated on March 15, 1968.
Following are certain key objectives of the Corporation:

Make barren lands suitable for agricultural practice through systematic
Land development

Level the lands with gentle slopes for better irrigation

Construct irrigation tanks, ponds for aquaculture, de-silt existing
tanks, canals

Develop watersheds for optimum utilization of water

Prepare lands for afforestation

Provide improved farm machinery and agriculture equipments, to ensure
greater productivity and reduced cost of cultivation, and
import them if necessary

Provide relief to farmers in the event of natural calamities by providing
machinery for clearance of sand casting etc.

Encourage increased production of new equipments and machinery by
Agricultural Universities and other Research Institutes
