YOUTH ADVANCEMENT TOURISM ANDCULTURE (TOURISM) DEPARTMENT

Read the following:-

    1. G.O.Ms.No.6, Youth Advancement Tourism and Culture (T) Department, dated 18.12.1998.
    2. From the director of Tourism, Letter No.Tourism/1430/99, dated 12.5.1999.
    3. G.O.Ms.No.87, Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (T) Department, dated 13.7.1999.

ORDER:

In the circumstances reported by theDirector of Tourism in the reference 2nd read above, Government hereby accordapproval of the Proforma, for registration of tourism units under the new Tourism Policy1998 as annexed to this order subject to the following conditions:

  1. Unit which are already registered with Commissioner of Industries earlier shall not be registered with Director of Tourism for investment subsidy.
  2. Units which got substantial works completed earlier to this Policy will not be eligible for investment subsidy under the Tourism Policy of 1998, but will be eligible: under the earlier policy.
  3. However, the Units will be eligible for tax holiday plus 25% power subsidy.
  4. State Level committee to decide incentive issues along with the Members constituted in the Government Order 3rd read above.
  5. Since the quantum of subsidy is not known and may take some time to start claiming and disbursing the Director of Tourism shall meet the requirements if and when arise, from out of the budget provision of the Tourism Department and come up with necessary proposals to the Government for the release of additional budget at the appropriate time.

This order issue with theconcurrence of Finance and Planning (Fin.W) vide their U.O.NO.2614/PFS/99, dated26.6.1999.
