ORDER:
The following
notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Andhra
Pradesh Gazette dated 12th November, 2002.

NOTIFICATION
|
In exercise of the
powers conferred by sub-clause(i) of clause (d) of sub-section(1) of
section 67of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act. 59 of 1988) and
in supercession of the notification issued in G.O.Ms.No.144, Transport
Roads & Buildings (Tr. II) Department, dated: 1-11- 2000 in so far
as it relates to the fixation of fares for Autorickshaws and published
in the part-1 Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated.
2-11-2000. the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby direct the State
Transport Authorities and the Regional Transport Authorities in the
State to fix the hire of Autorickshaws registered and plying in the
State of Andhra Pradesh.

(1) Minimum fare
Rs. 8-00 (2) For each subsequent Kilometer Rs. 4-00 (3)
Detention charges for every minute Rs. 0-10 (4) Luggage
|
(a) Luggage
should accompany the passenger. (b) Rs. 0.25 paise for every
package other than a brief case, a hand bag, any attached case or
bag less than 60X40 cms in dimension for the entire journey. (c)
Maximum Luggage 100
Kilograms.
|
(5) A fare
calculated at one and a half time the normal fare shall be payable for
the vehicle engaged between 10.00 PM to
5.00AM.
|
2. The meter should
be so set that as soon as it is engaged, it records the minimum fare of
Rs. 8-00 and on completion of 2 kilometers it moves up to at the rate of
Rs. 0-40 for every 1/10th kilometer.
3. The Transport
Commissioner may grant time for setting the meter to the revised tariff
in respect of the existing meters, and in the meantime there shall be
exhibited in all the Autorickshaws tariff card indicting the existing
and revised fares.
