The following Notification will be published inthe Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 27.06.2000.

N O T I F I C A T I O N

Whereas, the Government of Andhra Pradesh havedeclared any service under the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation asessential service under the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Act20 of 1971) in the notification issued in the G.O.Ms.No.180, Transport Roads &Buildings Department, dated the 7th June, 1980;

And whereas, the Government are satisfied that inpublic interest it is necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in any service under theAndhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation;

And whereas, the Government of Andhra Pradesh inthe reference first read above have prohibited strikes for a period of six months witheffect from the 26th December, 1999 and the said period will expire by the 25th June,2000;

And whereas, the Government have considered thatit is expedient to prohibit strikes in any service under the Andhra Pradesh State RoadTransport Corporation for a period of six months.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powersconferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential ServicesMaintenance Act, 1971 (Act 20 of 1971), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibitsstrikes for a period of six months with effect from the 27th June, 2000 in anyservice under the Andhra Pradesh State

Road Transport Corporation constituted under theRoad Transport Corporation Act, 1950 (Central Act 64 of 1950).
