ORDER:

1. In the Letter read above, the Director, SainikWelfare has informed that (15) days Special Casual Leave is allowed to the ex-servicemenwho were employed in Government service in accordance with the G.O.Ms.No.407, Finance& Planning (FW.FR.I) Department, dated 18.9.96 and requested the Government to extendthe same facility to those ex-servicemen who were employed in the APSRTC also in order toenable them to appear before the Re-survey Medical Boards for re-assessment of theirMedical disability.

2. The above proposal of the Director, SainikWelfare has been examined by the Government in detail and after careful examination,Government hereby direct the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, APSRTC to makenecessary amendment to the Regulation of the APSRTC Employees (Leave) Regulations 1963 byadding the following after to the Regulation 8(3):

"8(4) The Ex-servicemen who were boarded out of military service on Medical Grounds and re-employed in APSRTC can avail an additional Special C.L for a period not exceeding 15 days including the transit time on both ways in a calendar year to enable them for appearing before the Medical Re-survey Board for reassessment of the disability."

3. This order issues with the concurrence ofFinance & Planning (FR.I) Department vide their U.O.No.42139/974/A2/FR.I/99, dated18.11.99.
