In the letter read above, it has been mentionedthat the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is contemplated to purchase about1500 Buses during 1999-2000 by barrowing an amount of Rs.110.00 crores from CommercialBanks. Due to poor response under hiring scheme, the Corporation has decided to increasethe vehicles to 2000, for meeting this programme, the barrowing amount has been enhancedto Rs.155.00 crores. In addition to this the Corporation contemplated to invest Rs.35.00crores from SBT and Rs.12.00 crores from SRBS which was resolved by its Board in itsResolution No.77/99, dated 23.7.99, and requested the Government to accord permission foravailing the aforesaid amounts.
In the circumstances stated above, Governmentafter careful examination hereby accord permission to Andhra Pradesh State Road TransportCorporation to avail, the Loan amounts as detailed below for the purchase of 2000 vehiclesduring 1999-2000.
