ORDER

The following notification will be published in theExtra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 15th November,1999.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of thepoers conferred by section 96 of the MotorVehicles Act, 1988 (Act 59 of 1988), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes thefollowing amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 issued in G.O. Rt.No. 216, Transport, Roads & Buildings (Tr. II) Department, dated the 7thAugust, 1989 and published in Part - I Extra-ordinary issues of Andhra Pradesh Gazettedated the 25th August, 1989 the same having been previously published in theAndhra Pradesh Gazette as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules, for 132 the following shall be substituted,namely:-

"132 Meeting of the Regional Transport Authorities:- TheRegional Transport Authority may meet once in the three months on such date and at suchtime and place as may be determined by the Chairman, and on such other occasions sodetermined as may be necessary for the prompt dispatch of business.

Provided that the Regional Transport Authority may meet beforethe aforesaid stipulated time according to exigencies and in the interest of the publicfor prompt disposal of the business, if the total number of applications are more thanfifty (50).

Provided further that adequate notice of such meetings and ofbusiness to be transacted there at shall be given for information of such persons whobeing interested in the particular business to be transacted may in the opinion of theRegional Transport Authority or of its Secretary reasonably claim to be permitted toattend for the purpose of making representations."
