O R D E R
Orders were issued in the reference firstcited for re-constituting the Road Safety Council at State Level for a period of 2 (two)years with effect from 30-12-1995. The term of the said Council expired on30-12-1997. The Government, therefore, decided to re-constitute the StateLevel Road Safety Council as indicated in the following notification.
2) The following notification will be published in the next issueof Andhra Pradesh Gazettee:

In exercise of the powers conferred bysub-section (2) of section 215 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988)the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby constitutes the Road Safety Council for the State ofAndhra Pradesh with the following members, namely:-
STATE LEVEL COMMITTEE: (1) Minister for Transport Chairman (2) Principal Secretary to Government, Transport, Roads & Buildings Deptt. Vice-Chairman (3) Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department Member (4) Secretary to Government, Education Department Member (5) Secretary to Government, Medical & Health Department Member (6) Secretary to Government, Legal Affairs, Law Department Member (7) Director General and Inspector General of Police, A.P. Member (8) Engineer-in-Chief(Roads), Andhra Pradesh Member (9) Chief Engineer (Panchayat Raj), Andhra Pradesh Member (10) Commissioner, Municipal Administration Member (11) Special Officer, Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad Member (12) Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corpn. Member (13) General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Lorry Transport Operators' Association, Vijayawada Member (14) Geneal Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Motor Union Congress, Hydeabad Member (15) Nominee of the Automobile Association of Southern India, Secunderabad Member (16) The Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Hyderabad Urban Development Authority. Member (17) The Chief Engineer (National Highways), Hyderabad Member (18) Transport Commissioner Member/Convenor
2) The Non-official members of the Council shall beeligible for Travelling Allowance and Dearness Allowance as per rules. The TransportCommissioner shall be the countersigning authority.
3) The term of the said Council shall be two years from the dateof issue of notification or till the Road Safety Council is re-constituted, whichever isearlier.
