ORDER:

In the G. O.second read above. Government haveconstituted a committee to finalise the agency and to monitor the computerisation of theTransport Department. The Transport Commissioner in the letter 3rd read above has statedthat the committee has throughly negotiated the rates with different agencies. The committeehas met 8 times, seen the demo of application developed by some of them, interactedwith the representatives of firms who came forward to give their solution. Their designdevelopment of the application the competency, thethe preparednes and infrastructureavailability,was taken into account and finally the committee has decided to entrust theComputerisation to M/s. Tata Infotech Linlited. The application software developed by theagency will be owned by the department with source code, documentation and with a facilityto change and modify, in case of need. The agency will invest on hardware, system softwarenetworking, install, maintain and transfer the assets, to the department after 3 years.The services including., front end services will be rendered by the Transport Departmentalstaff Only.

After careful examination. of the above report the proposal ofthe Transport Commissioner is accepted for entrustment of the computerisation work of 3Regional Transport Authority Offices at Secunderabad, Vijayawada and Chittoor on a pilotbasis on build-own-operate and transfer basis, to.M/s Tata Infotech Ltd.

.3) 3. Government also hereby permit the Transport Commissionerto enter into an agreement with the M/s. Tata Infotech Ltd., for computerisation of 3Regional Transport Authority Offices at Socunderabad, Vijayawada and Chittoor within ashort time span to be work,ed out by the Transport Comnnssioner.

4. The Transport Commissioner is requested to take necessaryaction accordingly.
