ORDER:

The following notification will be published in theExtra-ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated.- 15-6-1999.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the Powers conferred under section28 of the Motor Vehicles act, 1988 (Act 59 of 1988) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh herebymakes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules 1989 issued inG.O. RtNo. 216, T.R&B (Tr.II) DePtirtment, dated the 7th August l989 and published inPart-1, Extra ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh.Gazette dated the 25th August".1989.

AMENDMENT

1. In the said rules, for rule 5 the following shall besubstituted namely:-

"5. Rejection of Authorisation procedure.

If the Licensing authority intends to reject anapplication for authorisation, it shall inform the reasons thereof in writing and give theapplicant an Opportunity to submit his reply within 10 days from the date of receipt ofthe memo and then dispose of the application duly returning the driving licences.

2. In rule 11, for su.b-rule (3) the following shall besubstituted namely.-

" 3. The appellate authority aftergiving an Opportunity to the parties of being heard setting a time limit of (3) months andafter such further enquiries, if any, as it may deem necessary, may confirm, modify or setaside the order appealed against and shall make an order accordingly."

  1. TO rile 14, the words "within one week" shall be added at the end.
  2. In rule 68, to sub-rule (2) the words "withing one week" shall be added at the end.
