ORDER:
The following notification will be published inan extra ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated: 11-06-1999.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of powers conferred by theisub-section (2) of section 207 read with section 138 of the Motor Vehicles,Act, 1988(Central Act 59 of 1988) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the followingamendment to the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 216,T.R&B (Trans Port-II) Department, dated 7-8-1989 and published at pages 1-315 of theRules supplement to 1 part-I of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 25th iugugt, 1989,the same having been previously published as required by sub-section(l) of section 212 ofthe said Act.
AMENDMENT
In the said rules, after rule 448-A the following shall be added,namely.-
448-B Release of seized and detained_ vehicles:
(1) An application for release of a vehicleseized and detained under sub-section (1) of section 207 shall be in the form of amemorandum in duplicate with relevant documents duly enclosing a fee of rupees twentyfive.
The secretary, Regional Transport Authority, of the Regionshall entertain application for relese of vehicles seized and detained by his sub-ordinateofficers.
2. Provided that application shall be made to theDeputy Transport Commissioenr in the case of check made by the Secretary, RegionalTranport Authority in the cadre of Reginal Transport Officer and the TransportCommissioner, if the Secretary, regional Tranport Authority is of the cadre of deoutyTransport Commissioner or Joint Transport Commissioner.
