ORDER:

In pursuance of the sanction accorded by theGovernment under sub-clause (1) of clause (b) of Sub-Rule 2 of Rule 9 of Andhra PradeshRevised Pension Rules, 1980 for instituting Departmental Proceedings against Sri Ch.Venkata Reddy, formerly Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, and now retired as DeputyCommissioner, O/o. Commissioner, Panchayat Raj & Rural Employment in G.O.Ms.No.283,Panchayat Raj & Rural Development (Estt. VI) Department, Dated:2--9--2000, it isproposed to hold an enquiry against the said Sri Ch. Venkat Reddy, in accordance with theprocedure as laid down in Rule 20 of the A.P. Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1991. Theenquiry shall be conducted by the Government at Hyderabad. The substance of theimputations of misconduct or misbehaviour in respect of which the inquiry is proposed tobe held is set out in the enclosed statement of articles of charges (Annexure--I). A listof documents by which and a list of witnessess by whom, the articles of charges areproposed to be substantiated are also enclosed (Annexure--II and III).

2. Sri Ch. Venkata Reddy, is directed to submit,a written statement of his defence within (15) days from the date of receipt of this orderand also to state whether he desires to be heard in person.

3. He is informed that an inquiry will be heldonly in respect of those articles of charges, as are not admitted. He should, therefore,specifically admit or deny each article of charge.

4. Sri Ch. Venkata Reddy, is further informedthat if he does not submit his written statement of defence on or before the datespecified in para-2 above, or does not appear in person before the inquiring authority orotherwise fails or refuses to comply with the provisions of Rule 20 of the Andhra PradeshCivil Services (CCA) Rules, 1991 or the orders/directions issued in pursuance of the saidrules, the inquiring authority may held the inquiry against him exparte.

5. The receipt of this order may be acknowledged.
