NOTIFICATION
Under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act of XXVI of 1881) read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Notification No. 20/25/56 Public - I, dated 8th June, 1957, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declare the day of poll i.e., Saturday, 24.9.2005 to be a public holiday in the areas covering the Municipalities and Municipal Corporations where elections are being conducted.
The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh also hereby direct that the day of poll, i.e. 24.9.2005 (Saturday) shall be a general holiday for all the Government offices and Educational Institutions situated in the limits of Municipalities and Municipal Corporations where elections are being conducted.
