G.O.Ms.No.610, M.A. & U.D. Department., dated: 24-6-2005.

 

ORDER:

 

            In the G.O read above, orders were issued  constituting the Puttur Gram Panchayat as Smaller Urban Area exercising the powers conferred by clause (42-a) of section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act 6 of 1965), read with rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Transitional Area and Smaller Urban Areas (Fixation of Criteria) Rules, 1995.  Now, Government have decided to invoke the clause 22 of section 2 of the A.P. Municipalities Act 1965 read with rule 3 of the A.P. Municipalities (Gradation of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayat) Rules, 1995 for Gradation of the newly constituted Municipality as third Grade Municipality.

                       

2.            Accordingly, the following Notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated 24.6.2005.

 

3.         The Commissioner, Printing, Stationery and Stores purchase, Hyderabad is requested to publish the following Notification in the Extraordinary issue and to furnish 100 copies to the Government.

 

NOTIFICATION

 

            In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (22) of section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act  6 of 1965) read with rule 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Gradation of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 1995, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby declares, the Puttur Municipality as third Grade Municipality, with immediate effect.
