Whereas
the Government in G.O.Ms.No.695 M.A., dated 09.11.1977 notified the areas
consisting 165 villages falling in erstwhile Vijayawada Taluk, Guntur Taluk,
Tenali Taluk, Gannavaram Taluk as specified in the schedule to the notification
appended to the said G.O. as Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalaigiri Urban
Development Authority;

And whereas, the Vice-Chairman, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali,
Mangalaigiri Urban Development Authority in his letters Rc.No.C8-1781/2001,
dated 10.05.2002, 22.12.2003, 20.01.2004 has requested the Government to
include Kankipadu on Vijayawada – Machilipatnam road, Jupudi, Trilochanapuram,
Mulapadu, Kethanakonda and Kotikalapadu villages in Krishna District on
Vijayawada – Hyderabad road and Amaravathi in Guntur District in the newly
proposed extension of area, taking into consideration of ensuing Krishna
Pushkarams in August, 2004;

And whereas, in the circumstances reported by the
Vice-Chairman, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalaigiri Urban Development
Authority, Vijayawada, Government after careful examination of the issue
decided for inclusion of Kankipadu on Vijayawada – Machilipatnam road, Jupudi,
Trilochanapuram, Mulapadu, Kethanakonda and Kotikalapadu villages in Krishna
District on Vijayawada – Hyderabad road and Amaravathi in Guntur District in
the development area of Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalaigiri Urban
Development Authority as detailed in the schedule below;

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by
by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 13 of the Andhra Pradesh Urban
Areas (Development) Act, 1975 (Act –1 of 1975) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh
hereby extend the Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Mangalaigiri Urban Development
Authority by including the areas, specified in the schedule below;
