ORDER:
The Commissioner, Vijayawada
Municipal Corporation in her letter second read above has submitted that
Government have issued orders in G.O.Rt.No.1228, dated 12.09.2003 according
permission to appoint Sri T.A. Rama Rao, and Sri K. Sambasiva Rao, as Assistant
Commissioners Grade-II, in Municipal Corporation of Vijayawada, on temporary
basis on promotion in the existing retirement vacancies and also accorded
permission to include the name of Sri N. Sree Rama Murthy, Manager in the
Assistant Commissioners panel
since Sri T.A. Rama Rao who is
promoted to the post of Assistant Commissioner is going to be retired from
service on 31.12.2003 on attaining the
age of superannuation. The
Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has also submitted that at
present the post of Assistant Commissioner needs to be filled up immediately to
improve the collection of Taxes and non-taxes besides assessing the unassessed
and under assessed buildings if any in the Vijayawada city.
2. The Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal
Corporation has requested the Government to appoint Sri N. Sree Rama Murthy,
Manager as Assistant Commissioner Grade-II in the existing vacancy arisen due
to retirement of Sri T.A. Rama Rao, Assistant Commissioner.
3. Government after careful examination of
the matter hereby accord permission to the Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal
Corporation to appoint Sri N. Sree Rama Murthy, Manager of the Corporation as
Assistant Commissioner Grade-II on temporary basis on promotion with the
admissible scale of pay in the existing retirement vacancy and post him in
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation with effect from the date of his taking
charge.
4. The appointment of Sri N. Sree Rama
Murthy as Assistant Commissioner Grade-II is purely on temporary basis pending
approval of Adhoc rules for the said post and it does not confer any right of
seniority and the appointment is also subject to the result of O.A./R.P. and
W.P. if any, pending in the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal/Court etc.
5. The Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal
Corporation shall take necessary action in the matter.
