ORDER:

            In the G.O. 1st read above, orders have been issued according administrative sanction to Markapur Water Supply Improvement Scheme for Rs. 527.17 Lakhs with the following method of financing.

 

            1)             HUDCO Loan            ..            ..            ..            Rs. 368.98 Lakhs.

            2)            Municipal Share            ..            ..            ..            Rs. 158.14 Lakhs.

2.         In the reference 2nd  read above the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Hyderabad has submitted a revised proposal for Markapur Water Supply Scheme with Gundlakamma river as source   to accord administrative sanction for Rs. 1400.00 lakhs for the scheme and to stand guarantee for additional HUDCO loan component.

 

3.         In the reference 3r and 4th read above, the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Hyderabad while furnishing a copy of the Council Resolution of Markapur Municipality has reported that the dependability of Gudlakamma river as source for the scheme cannot be assured since there is no flow and hence modifications are required and the proposal has been revised with changing the source for the scheme from the original proposal of Gudlakamma river to Nagarjunasagar Right Canal at Hansapur.  The cost of the proposal is  working out to Rs. 32.00 Crores including HUDCO loan.  The increase in cost is reported to be  due to increase in cost of transmission mains for a length of above 28 K.M. and proposed S.S. Tank of storage capacity for a period 5 months. He has therefore  requested to accord revised administrative sanction  for an amount of Rs. 3200.00 Lakhs for  Markapur Water Supply Improvement Scheme with Nagarjunasagar Right Canal and also to accord permission to operate the additional HUDCO loan component amount of Rs. 1871.02 Lakhs within the limit of bulk guarantee already sanctioned.

4.             Government after careful consideration of the proposal of the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Hyderabad,  accord revised administrative sanction to Markapur Water Supply Improvement Scheme with N.S. Right Canal as source with the following method of financing and also  accord permission to operate the additional HUDCO Loan component of Rs. 1871.02 Lakhs (2240-368.98) within the limit of bulk guarantee already sanctioned by the Government in G.O.Ms. No. 483, MA & UD(A1) Department, dated 21-10-2003.

 

            HUDCO Loan                                                Rs.             2240.00 Lakhs.

            Municipal Share                                            Rs.        960.00 Lakhs.

5.         The Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health, Hyderabad is requested to take necessary action accordingly. He shall see that none of the loan drawn in this case and other cases from HUDCO goes waste in terms of finally ending up partially completing the schemes.

 

6.         This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their o.n.o. 18088-A/271/A1/(Expr. MA&UD & EFS&T)2004  dated 27.07.2004.
