O R D E R:

 

           In the G.O.second read above, orders have been issued fixing road cutting chargesfor all Municipalities and Municipal Corporations in the State as indicated below:

                       i) Ordinary Roads            ....Rs.200/- perrunning meter.

                    ii)  B.T. Roads                  ....Rs.400/- per running meter.  

                    iii)Cement Roads               ....Rs.600/-per running meter.

2.         In the note third read above, theChief General Manager, Andhra Pradesh Telecom Circle has stated among others that to meetgrowing Telecom demands in the State they have planned to lay around 20,000 K.Ms. of Jellyfilled Cables and about 8000 K.Ms. of O.F. Cables connecting small villages and towns inthe State,during 1999-2000 and with the enchanced reinstatement charges the Department isput to heavy financial durden.  It is alsostated that the rates were made applicable for the entire State irrespective of the levelof the local bodies and therefore, requested to reduce the rates substantially for varioussoil types and level of local bodies .

3.            Government aftercareful examination of the matter and in supercession of the orders issued in the G.O.second read above have decided to collect different road cutting charges for differenttypes of roads and keeping in view the level of local bodies, as indicated below:

4.         When-ever there is no pedestrianpavement on the edge of the road and both sides of the road have only earthern formationadjecent to WBM, B.T. or Concrete Road, the rate per running mater may be charged atRs.25/- uniformly.

5.         All the Commissioners of MunicipalCorporations and Municipalities/Nagar Panchayats are, therefore, directed to collecthereafter the road cutting charges as detailed in the table under para.3 above.

6.         These orders shall come into forcewith immediate effect.
