ORDER:

In the reference 1st read above, permission was accorded for conduct of Second Survey of Wakf Properties in the State with in a period of Six months. In the reference 2nd and 3rd read above, orders were issued from time to time extending the time limit up to 2-9-2003 to complete the Second Survey of Wakf Properties in the State by the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs.

2. During State level Work Shop held on 16th and 17th May, 2002 at Dr. M.C.R.H.R.D. Institute, Hyderabad , the Welfare Group recommended that the Second Survey of Wakf Properties should be completed within a period of 9 months. Accordingly in the reference 4th read above, the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs has submitted necessary proposals for sanction of additional staff and necessary funds for early completion of Second Survey of wakf Properties in the State.

3. In the G.O. 5th read above an amount of Rs.76.44 lakhs (Rupees Seventy Six lakhs and forty four thousands only) has been sanctioned for early completion of Second Survey of Wakf Properties and out of which initially an amount of Rs.25.00 lakhs (Rupees twenty five lakhs only) is released in the G.O. 6th read above for the financial year 2002-03.

4. The Government after careful consideration hereby sanction additional posts on consolidated pay as shown in the annexure appended to this order for early completion of Second Survey of Wakf Properties.

5. The following notification shall be published in the next issue of A.P.Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION

"In exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (6) of section (4) of Wakf Act, 1995, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby orders and accordingly permits the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs to complete the second survey of Wakf Properties in Andhra Pradesh State within a period of 9 months". 6. The Joint Collector shall extract 2nd Survey Work from the Mandal Surveyors under the supervision of Mandal Revenue Officers. The Survey teams of Survey Commissioner of Wakfs shall monitor the Survey work by conducting meetings with MROs at the Districts . The Mandal Revenue Officer should reconcile the Survey Work attended in his Mandal with Revenue Record and Sign and send to the Assistant Survey Commissioner of Wakfs for verification and onward transmission to Survey Commissioner for finalising the reports as per the Wakf Act, 1995. The Survey Commissioner of Wakfs will provide all the records to the MROs to facilitate Survey Work. The Joint Collector will be responsible for survey work at district level.

7. The Principal Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department shall review the Survey Work with all the Joint Collectors once in every month through Video Conference so that the entire Survey Work shall be completed within a period of nine months.

8. The selection for the additional posts of Asst. Commissioners for Wakfs shall be done by the Committee headed by the Principal Secretary, Minorities Welfare Department with the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Director, Survey & Settlement Department and Survey Commissioner of Wakfs. All the other additional posts shall be recruited by the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs. The Assistant Secretary (General), Minorities Welfare Department shall supervise and assist the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs in the Selection process. The process of selection of staff shall be completed as early as possible.

9. The Director of Survey, Settlement and Land Records / all District Collectors / Joint Collectors are requested to provide necessary assistance, particularly in providing Surveyors and other assistance, as required by the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs for early completion of 2nd survey of Wakfs.

10. The Chief Executive Officer, ANDHRA PRADESH State Wakf Board, shall provide all assistance as required by the Survey Commissioner of Wakfs for early completion of the 2nd Survey of Wakf properties in the State.
