The Andhra Pradesh State Irrigation Development Corporation Ltd. has been established on 07-09-1974 as a State Government undertaking for implementation of Lift Irrigation Schemes, Bore wells, Tube wells and Infiltration Wells to provide irrigation facility to upland areas of small and marginal farmers and other weaker sections of the society with the funds provided by Government under various programmes either directly or through District administration and handing over the same to beneficiaries/agencies for operation and maintenance.

The Regd. Office is located at Hyderabad . There are 12 Divisions and 2 Project Offices for implementation of various schemes in Andhra Pradesh State . The locations of Divisions and their jurisdictions are as follows.

The Vice Chairman and Managing Director is the Chief Executive with administrative control over the following. The functions and duties of organization are mentioned as hereunder.

1. Superintending Engineer : Incharge of technical matters and administration of technical staff.

2. General Manager (Finance) : Incharge of financial matters, audit matters and Board meetings

3. Manager (Admn & Legal) : Incharge of Administration of non technical staff and Legal matters

4. Executive Engineer (RO) : Assistance to Superintending Engineer in respect of technical matters and administration of technical

5. Executive Engineers (Divisions): Overall supervision of works in their divisions and administrative matters of divisions

The Vice Chairman & Managing Director is responsible for the careful observance of the Business rules and Government instructions in the transaction of business in the organization. He exercise the powers of according technical sanctions for the works costing above Rs 50.00 lakhs and general supervision and control over the staff under him and is responsible for seeing that the members of the staff do the work allotted to them efficiently and expeditiously. It is his duty to take efficient steps for the prompt dispatch of business in the Organization.

2	Sri P.Rama- chandraiah	Superintending Engineer	The Superintending Engineer is responsible for technical observations on the works for according sanction by the VC&MD and inspection of schemes. 3	Sri R.Viswa-nadham	General Manager (Finance)	The General Manager (Finance) is responsible for financial transactions of the Corporation. He is also looking internal auditing on the works of Corporation.	As envisaged in Delegation of powers communicated by the Corporation

Designation of final decision making authority

The procedure followed in the decision making is common to all departments as prescribed in Business Rules and Secretariat instructions published by General Administration (Cabinet/IC) Department duly approving in Board meeting. These rules and instructions are amended from time to time by General Administration (Cabinet/IC) Department. Certain decisions suitable to Corporation will be taken in Board meeting.

The instructions from Government and proposals from divisions are received to concerned Clerk/Record Asst. after initialing by the concerned officer. The Clerk/ Record Asst. gives tappal number and keep all tappal papers in a separate tappal book and send them to the concerned officers.

On perusal of tappal by the concerned officers, they will be sent to the concerned caseworkers. The concerned caseworker make an entry in personal register and put up the same in the shape of file with relevant extracts of rules and guidelines and submit the file to the concerned Dy.EEs/AMs.

The Dy.EEs / AMs will scrutinize the files , write their remarks and submit to the Superintending Engineer through Executive Engineer (RO)/ Manager (Admn & Legal)/ General Manager (Finance) as the case may be. They scrutinize the files and send to the Vice Chairman & Managing Director for final approval.

The files initiated by Tech. wing having financial implications will be routed through General Manager (Finance) and similarly the files of Finance wing, which require technical remarks will be routed through Superintending Engineer before submission to the Vice Chairman and Managing Director for final approval.

In the issues where the Vice Chairman and Managing Director is not having powers will be placed before the Board for approval. The issues which require approval/ orders from Government will be submitted to Government.

In general, the Corporation starts working from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday except on second Saturday and Public Holidays.)
