O R D E R:

 

 

                   In the G.O. first read above,  orders were issued regarding fixing of certain physical and clinical facilities for establishment of Colleges of Nursing.

 

2.              Government after careful examination has decided to modify the G.O.Ms.No.217, HM&FW(K2) Department, dt.1-6-2006 to establish the new Colleges of Nursing, a new additional condition may be adopted i.e. requiring an ownership of not less than 200 bedded hospital would suffice if the applicant obtains a registered long term lease of such hospital for a minimum period of 20 years.  Hospital once affiliated should not be used for affiliation to another college.

 

 3.                    In partial modification of the  orders issued in the G.O. first read above, Government accordingly have decided that to establish new Colleges of Nursing which require an ownership of not less than 200 bedded hospital hitherto, would suffice if the applicant obtains a registered long term lease of such hospital for a minimum period of 20 years and hospital once affiliated, should not be used for affiliation to another college to establish new Colleges of Nursing.  Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the next issue of the A.P. Gazette.

 

NOTIFICATION

 

            In exercise of the powers conferred by section 99  of A.P. Education Act, 1982, (Act 1 of 1982), the Governor of Andhra Pradaesh hereby issue the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Private Colleges of Nursing (Grant of permission to Private Colleges of Institutions and admissions into B.Sc. Nursing courses) Rules, 1997 issued in G.O.Ms.No145, HM&FW (M2) Department, dt.18-5-1998 and amended in G.O.Ms.No.76, HM&FW(K2) Dept., dt.28-3-2003 and G.O.Ms.No.217, HM&FW (K2) Dept., dt.1-6-2006 and as amended from time to time:-

 

 

AMENDMENT

 

(1)               Under the  existing clause (a) of Rule 12, the following proviso shall be inserted:

 

“To establish new Colleges of Nursing which  require  an ownership of not less than 200 bedded hospital hither to would suffice if the applicant obtains a registered long term lease of such hospital for a minimum period of 20 years and the  hospital once affiliated should not be used for affiliation to another College of Nursing”.

 

 

4.                     The Registrar, Dr.N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada / the Director of Medical Education, A.P., Hyderabad /  Chairman, High Power Committee shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly.
