ORDER:

 

          In the G.O. first read above, Government have issued orders for enhancement of seats from five to twenty to M.Sc. (Nursing) course at Government College of Nursing, Hyderabad from the academic year 2005-06, subject to approval of Indian Nursing Council and affiliation of Dr.N.T.R. University of Health Sciences.

 

2.       In the letter second read above, the Registrar, Dr.N.T.R University of Health Sciences has stated that admissions into M.Sc. (Nursing) Course are being made till date, in accordance with the Memo.No.869/F2/85-2, M&H, dt.23-07-1985 and according to which:-

 

1)     M.Sc. (Nursing) course at the college of Nursing, Hyderabad is a part time course provided for the benefit of employed persons.

 

2)     According to para 12 of A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulations of admissions) Order, 1974, the persons in the employment of this State/ Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other Quasi Public Institutions within the State may be treated as eligible to apply for admission to the part-time course of study offered by the educational institutions in the State, subject to the control of State Government, as candidates belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh.

 

3)     The other admission rules in the presidential order are not applicable to the admission into part-time courses.

 

4)     In addition to the total number of 5 seats, one seat be allocated for candidate sponsored by Private Organisations/ Government Institutions in Andhra Pradesh State, other than Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad/A.P. Medical and Health Services.

 

5)     In the selection of Private candidates sponsored for admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) course, no reservation shall be followed.

 

3.       The Registrar, Dr.N.T.R University of Health Sciences has stated that the five seats are distributed as follows:-

4.       He has further stated that, the M.Sc. (Nursing) Course at Government College of Nursing, Hyderabad is not a State - wide course.

 

5.       The Registrar, Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences has therefore requested the Government to issue clarification immediately, regarding the classification/ distribution of the enhanced seats permitted in the G.O. 1^st read above, for admission into M.Sc. (Nursing) Course for the academic year 2006-07.

 

6.       Government after careful examination of the matter hereby issue the following clarificatory orders to the Registrar, Dr.N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada for making admissions to M.Sc. (Nursing) course at College of Nursing, Hyderabad from the academic year 2006-07:-

 

1)     The existing procedure shall be followed in respect of existing six (6) M.Sc. (Nursing) seats in Government College of Nursing, Hyderabad for inservice candidates.

 

2)     The enhanced fourteen (14) seats of M.Sc. (Nursing) at Government College of Nursing, Hyderabad –vide G.O.Ms.No.500, HM&FW (K2) Deptt., dated 28-9-2005 be filled up with regular students who passed B.Sc.(Nursing) and based on marks obtained in B.Sc.(Nursing) duly following the rule of reservation and following the Presidential Order.

 

7.       The Registrar, Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada shall take necessary action in the matter
