O R D E R :

 

            The Commissioner of Welfare, A.P, Hyderabad has proposed to introduce Woman Health Volunteers Scheme under the RCH-II Project with a total of 55,400 Woman Health Volunteers to act as health resource persons-of-first resort in each respective habitation, in all maternal health, child health and other general health matters in the village and also to act as link person between the community and health care service providers in the villages.

 

2.         The Government, after careful examination of the proposal, hereby constitute the “Grama Panchayat Health Committee” with the following Members:-

 

Gram Panchayat Sarpanch

CHAIRMAN

President(s) of the Village Organization (s) (Grama Ikya Sangham) under the Indira Kranti Patham Project, within the Gram Panchayat area.

 

CO – CHAIRPERSON(S)

All SC, ST Panchayat Ward Members

Members

All Women Ward Members of the Panchayat

Members

President and Secretary of the Janani team(s) in the Gram Panchayat area

Members

President and Secretary of the Mother’s Committee (s) in the Gram Panchayat area

 

Members

President (s) of the Village Education Committee in the Village

Members

Any Woman MPTC Member or ZPTC Member or MPP (Mandal Praja Parished) President living in the Gram Panchayat

 

Members

Any Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a good track record, working in the village

Members

ANM of the Sub-Center in whose jurisdiction the Gram Panchayat is covered

Ex-Offcio Members

Angan-Wadi workers within the Gram Panchayat area

Ex-Officio Members

 

3.         The Gram Panchayat Health Committee will take leadership in health care issues at the village-level, select the Woman Health Volunteer candidates as per the number indicated by the District Collector, regularly monitor and functioning of the Woman Health Volunteer as well as other functionaries such as ANM, Anganwadi worker who are expected to deliver services to the villagers, under various programmes.

 

4.         The Committee members will work in an honorary capacity and will not be eligible for any remuneration or expenses.

 

5.         The Commissioner of Family Welfare, A.P, Hyderabad, shall take necessary further action in the matter.
