O R D E R:

 

In the G.O. first read above, Government have formulated a scheme for providing financial aid towards surgeries to the children suffering from heart diseases to the private corporate hospitals who provide treatment and surgery for each category to the paediatric heart surgery at the rate of 20% less than the charges levied by Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad for similar cases.  The heart surgeries have been categorised to the following nine categories:

 

Category I            PDA Interruption Pericardiectomy,

                            Closed Mitral Valvotomy

                            PA Banding

 

Category II           B.T. Shunt

                            Coarctaion of Aorta Repair

 

Category III         ASD Closure

                            VSD Closure

                            A.P. Window Repair

 

Category IV         Intracardiac repair of TOF

                            Intracardiac repair of TAPVC

 

Category V          Intracardiac repair of TGA, DORV,

                            Tricuspid atresia, Trunkus Arteriosus etc.,

                            Other Surgeries needing special Conduits like

                            Pulmonary Atresia etc.

Category VI         Valve Repair, Mitrial Valve Repair, Tricuspid Valve Repair

 

Category VII       Mitral Valve replacements

                          Aortic Valve replacements

                          Tricuspid Valve replacements

 

Category VIII     Double valve replacements (Mitral Valve Replacement)

                          (Aotric Valve replacement)

 

Category IX        Interventional Procedures like percutaneous

                          Balloon Valvuloplasties

                          Balloon Septostomy

                          Including Cardiac Catheterization and Cine Angiograms.

 

2.       In the letter third read above, the Director of Medical Education has furnished a list of identified private hospitals who have expressed their willingness to participate in the scheme formulated by the Government.  He has furnished the list containing 31 hospitals including four Government hospitals i.e. Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, Government General Hospital, Kurnool and M.G.M. Hospital, Warangal and also Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati and Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and Madras Medical Mission, Chennai.

 

3.       The Director of Medical Education has, therefore, requested the Government to issue necessary orders approving the list of the corporate hospitals for utilising their services in providing the heart surgeries to the children suffering from heart diseases as per the tariff fixed by the State Government i.e. 20% less than the charges levied by the Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad based on the categorisation specified in G.O.Ms.No.362, H.M.&F.W. (K1) Department, dated 01-10-2004.

 

4.       In the G.O.Rt.No.1005, HM&FW(K1) Department, dated 17.11.2004, orders have been issued approving the Madras Medical Mission, Chennai for participation in the said scheme.

 

5.       Government after careful examination of the matter hereby approve the following 26 corporate hospitals, Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati to participate in the Child Heart health scheme for providing heart surgeries and treatment to the children at the rate fixed by the State Government i.e. 20% less than the charges levied by the Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad for similar cases and in terms of orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.362, H.M.&F.W.(K1)Department, dated 1.10.2004 and G.O.Ms.No.363, H.M.&F.W. (K1) Department, dated 1.10.2004:-

8) Medwin Hospital, Hyderabad.

9) Care Hospital, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad

10) Mediciti Hospital, Hyderabad.

11) Remedy Hospital, Himayath Nagar, Hyderabad.

12) Nizams’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Panjagutta, Hyderabad.

13) Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital, Hyderabad.

14) Care Hospital, Visakhapatnam.

15) Seven Hills Hospital, Visakhapatnam.

16) Apollo Hospital, Visakhaptnam.

17) Lalitha Super Specialty Hospital, Guntur.

6.       The facilities available in the said hospitals for heart diseases treatment is enclosed as Annexure to this order.

 

7.       The Director of Medical Education shall ensure that the said programme is successfully implemented and arrange frequent inspections to the above hospitals and submit periodical reports to Government every month of the progress.

 

8.       The Director of Medical Education shall take necessary further action in the matter accordingly.
