ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued orders for starting / increasing 474 Post Graduate seats and 19 Super Speciality seats in various Government Medical Colleges in the State.
2. After considering the proposal, the Government of India have issued letter of intents for 42 P.G. courses and 10 super speciality courses, in various Medical Colleges in the State.
3. In the references 2nd to 4th read above, the Government of India have accorded final permission for starting of the following courses from the academic year 2002 - 2003 as given below.

4. In the reference 5th read above, the Government of India has been requested to issue final permission for the remaining 42 P.G. and 5 Super Speciality courses for which letters of intents were already issued and permission of Government of India for the starting the courses from the academic year 2002-2003 is awaited.
5. In the reference 6th read above, the Registrar NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has requested for permission for starting of P.G./ Super Specialty courses and for grant of stipend etc, to the students.
6. After careful consideration of the matter, the Government hereby accord permission for starting of the above Five (5) Super Speciality courses in the Government Colleges as mentioned in para (3)for which final permission has been given by Government of India for the academic year 2002 – 2003.
7. The additional expenditure incurred on payment of stipend to the (5) courses will be as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.410 HM&FW (E2) Dept. dt.18-10-2002 and shall be met by the Director of Medical Education, A.P., Hyderabad from the existing budget for the year 2002-2003. In addition to this, the Director of Medical Education is requested to send necessary budget proposals for remaining 42 P.G. and 5 Super Speciality Courses from the next year onwards to include the same in the budget estimates.
8. The Registrar NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada / Director of Medical Education, Hyderabad shall take necessary further action in the matter immediately.
