       In the letter first cited the District Medical and Health Officers of Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Chittoor, Ananthapur, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam were requested to depute Programme Officers for Revised National T.B. Control Programme training at State T.B. Dem. and Trg. Centre Hyderabad. It is informed by the Director, State T.B. Dem. and Trg. Centre that except Ananthapur District no Programme Officer have attended the programme.

 

2.     In this connection all the District Medical and Health Officers are requested to refer to all the Programme Officers are also hereby designated as the Supervisory Officers for T.B. control programme (SOTC) and shall be provided with allowance for engaging 4 wheelers on hire basis and for TA and DA which was earlier provided to Medical Officers T.B. Centers. In view of this change there shall be no Medical Officers T.B. Centers. This change shall come into effect as soon as all the Programme Officers have gone through the mandatory 2 weeks training programme as required under the T.B. control programme guidelines. The State T.B. Officer shall take immediate follow up action starting with districts where revised Revised National T.B. Control Programme is already introduced of G.O. 2nd cited (copy enclosed) wherein Programme Officers are designated as the Supervisory Officers for T.B. control programme etc. and are required to under training programme prescribed.

 

3.     Hence all the District Medical and Health Officers are requested to depute Programme Officer having more than 1 year of remaining service for Revised National T.B. Control Programme, Modular training at State T.B. Dem. and Trg. Centre, Hyderabad starting from 17.02.2003 without fail. The schedule of training programme is enclosed.
