Sub:   Reporting of large-scale GE / Diarrhoea cases from   different

           parts of the State –  Orientation training  to the technical /

           para medical staff - Reg.

          In spite of instructions issued vide references cited. large no.of GE cases  are reported from different parts of the State. It is observed that many of the village secretaries and para medical staff who are expected to test water quality chlorination of water need to be equipped adequately. Hence the Director, IPM and CE RWS are requested to take action as follows:

 

i)                   The technical staff of labs of IPM / Rural water supply Dept. will be given orientation training first at IPM, Hyderabad in two batches on 2nd and 3rd June, 2003  in  water quality testing, use of chloroscope, chlorination of water,  (Annex. - !)

 

ii)                 These resource trainers in turn shall train the 28000 paramedical staff and  about 22000.Village Secretaries. The orientation may be taken up in two batches of  65-70 persons per batch  starting from 5th June to 12th June 2003.

 

iii)               The venue for Orientation training for 65 – 70  trainees per batch in the morning and afternoon session may  be arranged by D.P.Os and  D.M.& H.Os

 

iv)               The D.M.&.H.Os & D.P.Os shall coordinate with the I.P.M. & S.E. R.W.S.in each district for drafting the personnel  for training in each district.

 

v)                 The requisite funds will be released to Director, IPM and  DM&HOs. by  PD-APERP as per the requisitions to be made by them.

 

vi)               After completion of training  whenever outbreaks are reported the concerned para medical / RWS and other  staff concerned  will be made responsible and action as at ref. 3rd cited will be taken against them.
