Thefollowing notification will be
published in the Extra Ordinary issue of theAndhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 4th
July, 2002:
Inexercise
of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section-4 read withsection 15 and
17 of the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Smoking and HealthProtection Act, 2002
(Act No.14 of 2002), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh herebyauthorizes the
officers mentioned below as public servants as contemplatedunder sub section
(2) of section 4 of the said Act to exercise the powers andperform the functions
under the provisions of the Act and rules made thereunder to impose penalties
as specified under sub section (1) of section 11 ofthe said Act. On any person who isreasonably believed to
have committed an offence under this Act or the rulesmade there under, not
exceeding a of sum rupees one hundred in case of eachviolation by way of
compounding such offence. Any proceedings taken against such person in respect
of such offenceshall on payment of such money be withdrawn and no further
proceedings shall betaken in respect of such offence:
