O R D E R :
The Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh,
Hyderabad in his letter 2nd read above has brought to the notice of
the Government that there are unauthorised absences cases pending on the
teaching side and the work load is increasing day by day to deal with the
unauthorised absence cases. If the same
procedure as ordered in G.O.1st read above is followed, the
unauthorised absence cases will be settled and the resultant vacancies can be
filled up, so that the teaching programme and the patient care will not
hamper. Hence, he has requested to
issue guidelines to curb the unauthorised absentees.
2. Government after examination of the matter,
issue the following guidelines to tackle the problem of unauthorised absence of
Civil Assistant Surgeons/Assistant Professors / Associate Professors/Deputy
Civil surgeons/Civil Surgeons and Professors (Teaching side);
(a)
A monthly review
should be made and the doctors who have absented themselves unauthorisedly
shall be removed from service by issuing press notification giving (15) days
time to join duty. Notices shall also
be issued to the individuals to their last known address given;
(b)
A review Committee
consisting of (1) Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Health Medical Housing
Infrastructure Development Corporation (2) Director of Medical Education (3)
Director of Health and (4) the Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana
Parishad shall review the unauthorised absence cases every month and take
immediate follow up action;
(c)
The resultant
vacancies should be notified in the following month itself for recruitment of
the suitable candidates by way of walk-in-Interviews in respect of civil
Assistant surgeons/assistant Professors.
3. The Director of Medical Education shall
take necessary action in the matter accordingly.
