ORDER:

In the Government Order first read above, based on the recommendations of Pay Revision Commission, 1999, orders were issued implementing the enhanced rates of Uniform Allowance superceding the orders issued by Government from time to time. The Government Order second read above was issued based on the recommendations of the Anomalies Committee implementing the recommendations.

2. The Pay Revision Commission, 2005 has recommended, among other things, an increase of fifty per cent in the rates of Uniform Allowance over the existing rates to those who are now entitled to Uniform Allowance i.e., to all the existing eligible categories.

3. Government has accepted the recommendation of the Pay Revision Commission, 2005 and hereby order, in super cession of the orders issued by Government from time to time, that Uniform Allowance shall be paid at the enhanced rates mentioned in the column-4 of the Annexure (enclosed) to this order as against the "Existing Allowance" shown in column-3 to the officers mentioned in column-2.

4. This order shall come into force from the date of issue of this order. In cases where the Uniform Allowance has been drawn before issue of this order, the allowance under this order will be admissible after the expiry of the period for which the same is allowed and the new uniform or the allowance becomes due.

5. The existing rules and orders prescribing conditions for the grant and utilisation of the Uniform Allowance shall continue to apply.

6. Necessary amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Manual of Special Pays and Allowances will be issued in due course.
