In the reference I st cited, orders were issued that all the concerned cadre controlling officers to take immediate steps to ensure that all Officers and employees under their control variably reside at Head quarters and are available at their Headquarters for urgent call of duty.  It was also been ordered therein to all Heads of Departments to follow these instructions scrupulously and direct  all their staff and officers to make sure every one complies with these orders on or before 28-02-2001 and any lapse will be viewed seriously and the administrative  Secretary and the Heads of Departments shall take  disciplinary action  against the staff violating these instructions,

 

In the reference 2nd  read above, reviewed orders were issued  that the cadre controlling officers may not insist or certificate of residence in Head quarters from the Government employees  for the purpose of drawals of  monthly salaries.  However, on employees not staying at Headquarters, necessary disciplinary action can be taken.

 

            Based on the several representations received from the Teacher’s associations, the Collector & Dist. Magistrate Visakhapatnam in the reference 3rd cited, has submitted  proposals to modify the orders issued in the G.O...Ist cited and to take into consideration for cases of   “Widows, Handicapped teachers, wife and Husband are teachers one of them to be exempted, if one of the spouse is teacher and the other spouse in other department then other spouse to  be exempted from staying at place of work.

 

  After careful examination, Govt. hereby decide to give exemptions to the following categories, of the teachers of School Education Department.

.

1)      Widows and Handicapped teachers.

2)      When husband and wife both are teachers, one of them is exempted from staying at the place of work.

3)      If one of the spouse is a teacher and other is in other department, the spouse working in other Department is exempted from staying at the place of work.
