            The attention of all the Departments of Secretariat / Heads of Departments / District Collectors is invited to the reference 9th cited, wherein the matter of ban on purchase of “FURNITURE” was reviewed by the Government and it was decided to continue the ban orders.

 

            Government have again reviewed the matter and decided to continue the ban orders for a further period of one year with effect from 31-3-2004 due to stringent Ways and Means position of the State.  Accordingly, Government hereby direct that no furniture shall be allowed to be purchased by Government Departments / Offices, except Hospitals, Hostels, Residential Schools, Residential Colleges, Raj Bhavan, New Offices and Institutions (like Colleges, Offices, Hospitals) furniture related to computerization, modernization of Offices / Institutions for a further period upto 31-3-2005.
