ORDER :
Government have opened a Call Center (with toll free telephone No. 1111)at Hyderabad to answer to the queries of the farmers and for giving clarifications and advice to the farmers. The Center has started functioning with effect from 1-7-2003.
Government have further examined the matter and decided to constitute an Expert Group consisting of (3) Scientists to be located in the Office of the Commissioner, Agriculture to render technical advice to the officers of the Agriculture Department from time to time.
Accordingly, Government after careful examination, hereby constitute an Expert Group consisting of the following members :
1. Dr. A. Samba Siva Reddy, Principal Scientist (Agro.)
Regional Agril. Research Station, Nandyal.
2. Dr. T. Ramesh Babu, Prof. of Entomology,
Agricultural College, Bapatla.
3. Dr. N. Kulkarni, Principal Scientist (Rice),
ARI, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
In addition to the above expert Group, Government hereby order that the following Scientists of respective crops of the University will act as crop escorts from their respective places of work :-

The key duties of the Expert Group will be as follows:- |

The primary duties of the nominated Crop Escorts will be: (1) to monitor the crop growth of the assigned crops in the entire State; (2) interact with and respond to the State Level Officers at Hyderabad and Joint Directors of Agriculture at the district level on the status of crop conditions including pests and Diseases etc. The Commissioner & Director of Agriculture is requested to provide necessary logistic support to the experts team for their effective functioning. The Registrar, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University and the Commissioner and Director of Agriculture, Hyderabad are requested to take necessary action in the matter accordingly. The Commissioner & Director of Agriculture, A.P., Hyderabad may issue detailed guidelines covering all aspects of the functioning of both Expert Group and Crop Escorts.
