O R D E R :

                Ithas come to the notice of the Government that the Groundnut crop in Anantapur District& Kurnool District of the State is severally affected by Bud Necrosis (viral disease)and there is immediate  need to providePesticides i.e. one litre  of monocrotosphosper hectare to enable the farmers to control the disease.

2.                Governmenthave therefore decided to provide one litre of Monocrotosphos per hectare throughAgricultural Market Committees at all Mandal Headquarters.

3.                Accordingly,Government after careful examination and in terms of powers conferred by section 16 of theAndhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce & Livestock) Markets Act, 1966 hereby permit theDirector of Marketing to sanction Rs. 3.00 crores (Rs. 2.50 crores to Ananatapur and uptoRs.50.00 lakhs to Kurnool Districts) from Central Market Fund to the respective DistrictCollectors so that they could procure monocrotophos stocks from reputed firms and arrangethem to be distributed at Agricultural Market Committee level at all Mandal Headquarters.

4.             TheCommissioner & Director of Agriculture shall arrange to issue necessary guidelines tothe Collectors in consultation with the Director of Marketing with regard to release offunds, procurement of Pesticides and supply to farmers immediately so as to avoid hardshipto the farmers.  The Commissioner and Directorof Agriculture shall ensure that all precautionary steps/measures are taken for properutilisation of funds and render accounts for the amount released now.

5.             This orderissues with the concurrence of Finance and Planning (FW.EBS.XIII) Department vide theirU.O.No.5783/PFS, dated 11.09.2000.
