 O R D E R:

1. Government of India in the letter second read above haveconveyed their approval for Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for procurement of Oilpalm inthe State.   Further, Government of India,Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation have approved thedesignated agency (AP OILFED) at the State level and NAFED as Central Agency on behalf ofthe Government of India.

 2.Government hereby notifies the above said scheme under Section 11-A of the AndhraPradesh Oilpalm (Regulation of Production and Processing) Act, 1993 with the followingparameters.  The Managing Director, AndhraPradesh Oilfed, Hyderabad is hereby directed to take action accordingly and intimate theprocurement details on day to day basis.

 3.The following notification will be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of theAndhra Pradesh Gazette dated the 1^st January, 2000.

        NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred bySection 11-A of the Andhra Pradesh Oilpalm (Regulation of Production and Processing) Act,1993, the Government hereby notifies that the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for OilPalm in the Andhra Pradesh for all the factory zones in the State to buy specifiedquantities of Oil Palm FFBs produced by the Oil palm growers or their Co-operativeSocieties in all zones as are offered for sale by them shall be the AP OILFED / NAFED asapproved by the Government of India at a price fixed by the Government under MarketIntervention Scheme as specified below:-

(i)               This scheme is for a period of six months i.e. from 1^st January, 2000 to30^th June, 2000.  However, the MISScheme will be

reviewed on everyalternate month.  The first review will betaken at the end of February, 2000.

(ii)               Theprocurement price for FFBs under Section 11-A(1) is Rs.2,750/- per MT.

(iii)              APOILFED is entrusted with the above said MIS operation.

(iv)             A quantityof 45,000 MT of FFBs will be purchased under MIS by the designated agency.

(v)               Theover-head expenses for handling oilpalm will be Rs.50/- per MT or actual expenses,whichever is less.
