O R D E R :

 

               The following notification will be published in the Extraordinary issue of theAndhra Pradesh Gazette.

PRELIMINARYNOTIFICATION

               Whereas it is proposed to fix a ratio between selection Grade Secretaries andDeputy Directors of Marketing and Special Grade Secretaries and Assistant Directors ofMarketing in agricultural Market Committees for filling up of the posts of Selection Gradesecretaries and Special Grade secretaries in Agricultural Market Committees.

               And Whereas, in view of the suggestions of the Commissioner and Director ofMarketing in his letter first read above and as per the interim orders of the AndhraPradesh Administrative Tribunal dated 3rd May, 1999 in O.A.No. 1898/99 in thereference third read above, it is proposed to make the following amendments to the AndhraPradesh (Agricultural Produce & Livestock) Markets Rules, 1969 issued in G.O.Ms.No.1990, Food & Agriculture (Legislation) Department, dated the 17th October,1969 which are proposed to be make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33 ofthe Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966 (Act 16 of 1966)and the same is hereby published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, as required by sub-section(4) of section 33 of the said Act.

Noticeis hereby given that the said amendment will be taken in to consideration by theGovernment on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication  of this notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazetteand any objections or suggestions which may be received with respect thereto may beconsidered by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Theobjections and suggestions should be addressed to the Principal Secretary   to Government, Agriculture and CooperationDepartment, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad through the Director of Marketing, Andhra  Pradesh, Hyderabad.

 

AMENDMENTS

In the said rules,in rule 158 :-

1.             under theheading “Class-I (1) Selection Grade Secretary”, after item(b), the followingshall be added, namely:-

       “Theappointment by promotion and deputation shall be in the ration of 9:1”.

2.             under theheading “(2) Special Grade Secretary” after item(b), the following shall beadded, namely:-

                               “The appointment by promotion and deputation shall be in the ration of9:1”.

3.             for“Note”, the following shall be submitted, namely :-

“In the event of suitable and qualified personnel of the MarketCommittees are not available for promotion to the above posts, the posts shall be filledup temporarily on deputation basis against the quota of promotes till such  time the Market Committee Employees becomeeligible for promotion.”
